Ephesians Ch. 6

In the final chapter of Ephesians, Kevin teaches about instructions for children and their parents, as well as employees and bosses. In this we see a biblical perspective on how to live in these roles faithfully. And finally, we close out the letter by talking about the armor of God. Paul instructs us on how to be prepared for the battle we fight every day, not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces in our world.

Ephesians Ch. 5 — Church Online

Due to the extreme weather this week, we are moving our weekend gathering from in-person to online, for this weekend only. We encourage everyone to watch online with family, friends, or neighbors. Afterwards, utilize the discussion guide to discuss the message. The message will go live Sunday at 10:30am.

Talk It Over:

  • What’s one thing that stood out to you from today’s message?

  • What are some ways that you can be imitators of God?

  • Based on Ephesians 5, do you think it’s ok to talk about immoral things, as long as we don’t do them? Why do you think it’s important to not even talk about them?

  • What’s the difference between being drunk with wine and being filled with the spirit?

  • Paul encourages us to make the most of our time. How can we make the best use of our time in this evil age?

  • What do you think it means for wives to respect their husbands? What are some practical ways to do this? What do you think it means for husbands to love their wives like Christ loved the church? What are some practical ways to do this?

  • How can you be praying for each other a family? Share some requests and then pray together.

Ephesians Ch. 4

“Solid churches rise up solid Christians, and solid Christians rise up solid churches”. This week, Pastor Kevin teaches through Ephesians chapter 4, which gives us a picture of what a maturing church looks like, as well as some practical steps toward growing in maturity.

Ephesians Ch. 3

In chapter 3 of Ephesians, the apostle Paul writes about his personal ministry, followed by his prayer for the Ephesian church. In this section of the letter, we are reminded that God does not want us to only be partial followers of him. Rather, we are to be deeply rooted and grounded, completely filled up with God, allowing him to rule every part of our lives.

Ephesians Ch. 2

Chapter 2 of the letter to the Ephesians. In this message, Pastor Kevin talks about the 2 main ideas written about in chapter 2: Salvation and Peace. He explains why we need to saved and how God did the work of salvation on our behalf. It is not something that we earned or deserved, but a gift that God extends to us. In the second part, he talks about how to have peace with God and unity with God’s people.

Ephesians Ch. 1

This week, we kicked off a brand new series in Paul’s letter to the Ephesians. Kevin teaches through Ephesians chapter 1, in which Paul tells us about the rich blessings we have received in Christ. Because of these blessings, Kevin shows us that the church is the hope of the world. We’ve been called to go and share the hope we have in Christ with everyone.
