In the final part of “This Is Love”, we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus on Easter Sunday! In this message we see the power of Christ in that he did not stay in the grave, but conquered sin and death for us!
The Triumphal Entry (Palm Sunday)
In part 2 of this series, we get to hear from our Associate Pastor, Justin Romaine. He teaches from John 12 on the story of the Jesus’ Triumphal Entry in Jerusalem. This story is Jesus’ public announcement that he was the Messiah. However, he was not the kind of Messiah that the people expected him to be. Rather than coming to gain worldly power and conquer his enemies, Jesus comes in humility to lay down his life. This is Jesus’ example of love. Like Jesus, we too are called live in humble service to others.
The Woman at the Well
This week we kicked off a new message series titled “This is Love”, in which we will see various examples from the life of Jesus about how he loves. In the same way that Jesus loves us, we are called to love others. In part 1, Pastor Kevin teaches the story about the woman at the well in John 4. In this story, we see a picture of Jesus’ love for us whenever we look to worldly things to satisfy us.
